ALOHA!!! Long time no blog! While Eric was home for a couple of weeks we decided to take a much needed family vacation. Out of all the islands we decided we wanted to go to the Big Island first. It is only about an hour flight from Oahu so it was nice to not be stuck on an airplane for a long period of time. As we left the airport the first thing I noticed is how much smaller the population is compared to Oahu! It was so awesome to be able to see land and lots of it! We tried to fit in as much as possible. We only stayed 2 full days. The 2nd day was spent driving to the other side LOL. We did manage to get in Black Sand Beach and the southernmost point in the U.S.! We stayed at Kilauea Volcano National Park because that is where the military lodging is. I didn't get to see any lava and that was something I really wanted to see. Oh well it gives me an excuse to go again. It was an AWESOME experience. And honestly I can say it is my favorite island so far! Anyway I am going to try to figure out this picture thing. I tried to pick my favorites. I don't know how well it will work hahaha.
